Book of the Month: [June 2017] - CARTER & LOVECRAFT by Jonathan L. Howard

The book of the month selection for June 2017 is Carter & Lovecraft by Jonathan L. Howard. I must admit, one of the main reasons I wanted to read this novel was due to the fact that the story would encompass the H.P. Lovecraft theme in a very different and unique way. Throw in a former detective, grisly murders, paranormal events and a descendant of H.P. Lovecraft. It just screams...a must read. And of course, any story that includes a quaint bookstore is a winner in my eyes. But, this is all premature, because I am just beginning to read what I hope will be a page turning win.

Book of the Month: [May 2017] - SALEM'S LOT by Stephen King

The book of the month pick for May is Salem's Lot by Stephen King. This is a classic from the literary master of horror. I've watched the movie version of Salem's Lot several times, but never got around to reading the book. Being that I'm an enthusiastic fan of Stephen King, it is always a joy to begin reading one of his bestselling works that has remained on my 'To Be Read' list for far too long.

Book of the Month: [April 2017] - BAD GAMES [Bad Games Series Book One] By Jeff Menapace

The new book of the month selection for April is a dark thriller from best-selling author Jeff Menapace. In Bad Games, the first installment in the Bad Games trilogy, the horror centers around a family on vacation...attempting to enjoy a bit of quality family time. Their peace is interrupted by the disturbing arrival of vicious "visitors" that were not invited.

This twisted well crafted tale plunges into the nightmare that unleashes the will to fight back...by a family that refuses to go down without a fight.

Book of the Month: [March 2017] - ILLUMINAE (Illuminae Files Book One) By Amie Kaufman / Jay Kristoff

The book of the month pick for March is a doozy. This month's selection is Illuminae by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff.

Illuminae is book one in the thrilling Illuminae Files Trilogy. I am exited and intrigued about the possibilities of what will be unearthed within the pages of this much talked about series.

Based on the synopsis and buzz around the series, the authors have crafted a very unique storytelling style...immersing the reader into a riveting dystopian sci-fi adventure.

Book of the Month: [February 2017] - THE WOMAN IN CABIN 10 By Ruth Ware

The book of the month selection for February was a must read thriller titled The Woman in Cabin 10 by Ruth Ware. You will not be able to put this suspense thriller down. Delve into a story that encompasses the nuances of what a perfect conundrum of a story should be.

The Woman in Cabin 10 propels the reader deep into a mystery of  what one woman says she witnessed...but when no tends to believe her, a riveting page turning thriller unfolds.
