*This blog post was originally posted to my main blog in May. I completely forgot to post to my book blog. Sorry for the delay.
The book of the month pick for May is Salem's Lot by Stephen King. This is a classic from the literary master of horror. I've watched the movie version of Salem's Lot several times, but never got around to reading the book. Being that I'm an enthusiastic fan of Stephen King, it is always a joy to begin reading one of his bestselling works that has remained on my 'To Be Read' list for far too long.
The tale of vampires in a small town and the evil that is unleashed on its residents is a recipe full of horrifying consequences and shocking truths.
Grab a copy of Salem's Lot, one of Stephen King's earlier works, today.
As always...happy reading!
Ben Mears has returned to Jerusalem's Lot in the hopes that living in an old mansion, long the subject of town lore, will help him cast out his own devils and provide inspiration for his new book. But when two young boys venture into the woods and only one comes out alive, Mears begins to realize that there may be something sinister at work and that his hometown is under siege by forces of darkness far beyond his control.
