The book of the month selection for August is Terry McMillan's newest novel, I Almost Forgot About You. I'm a fan of Terry McMillan's novels, yet realized I hadn't read her recent work. I Almost Forgot About You was also one of the books I wanted to read this summer. Terry McMillan's writing style flows with such a matter of fact, in your face narrative that you can appreciate as a reader.
The August book of the month pick centers around a woman who has hit a certain period in her life where she finds herself at a crossroads. Life altering decisions are made and a leap of faith sends her on a journey to reclaim her life and realize that just because you supposedly have it all doesn't mean you stop growing, learning and reaching even higher; for the dreams you didn't even know you had.
